THE MAKAVELI BOOK’ WILL CONTINUE ON KICKSTARTER TOMORROW

“Despite several attempts to shut us down, lack of communication, and several other obstacles we will remain diligent to the publication of this book”

Los Angeles, California: In June, writers working closely with Tommy D announced a book detailing what it was like to work at the most notorious label in history. The premise put Tommy D as the central character, detailing the story from his point of view. It consists of direct sit down interviews made from countless hours of audio with not only Tommy D, but other inside sources as well. His manager created a Kickstarter to fund the book for Tommy after having a discussion with him. It was met with great interest and press, but also, frivolous attempts to silence the truth about what transpired during Tommy D’s time at the label. Many projects have been shut down directly by the estate or with frivolous lawsuits by peripheral figures, for reasons we don't care to speculate on. In our case, Gobi Rahimi unsuccessfully tried to halt the Kickstarter campaign we had set up for this publication. His claims so far have been unmerited and it’s estimated the KICKSTARTER page will be back Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 [tomorrow.]

The Makaveli Book team is made up of more than 50 people who have donated cash, content, services, and time to the book for no gains. We are a living breathing entity that will not capitulate, nor falter, in delivering on our promised project. The difference between this and other failed (or never heard from again) projects, is no matter the pressure put on us to suppress the truth, we can assure you, the reader, that we intend to deliver a quality product and not be censored by the powers that be.

Like everyone else, we’ve noticed unusual activity on all of Tommy D’s social accounts. Please bare with us as we are working to restore his access to his social media. We have not communicated with him for several days & have no reason to believe his plans have changed.

Several people have personal interests invested in this project. No matter the storm of controversy that is sure to ensue we, as a team, would like to assure our donors. We stand united in giving readers the most detailed, first-hand accounts of what really happened behind

the scenes at Death Row Records by the people who were actually there. As backers of this project you may notice some changes coming to the KICKSTARTER, but rest assured it is the same content that was offered previously. We have no intention of not seeing this project to the end.
